The Anaconda of the United States

On July 4th we celebrate the independence of this great nation. In 1776 the world saw the birth of the United States of America. A birth is celebrated and no one really likes to ponder on death or the potential of it.

So, let us think of that peril for a quick moment. I’m thinking of the ever present Anaconda of the United States. Due to negligence or lack of responsibility, several exotic pet owners introduced the anaconda to the Florida Everglades.

The anaconda, which is not native to this ecosystem, annihilates the native wildlife species. Since the anaconda has no natural predator, they naturally take over and do so at will.

The illegal alien was introduced to the U.S. shortly after WWII. The United States introduced the “Bracero” Program due to a lack of manual laborers. Since most our men were fighting a war, work still needed to be done.

The Spanish word for arm is “Brazo”. Since we needed some strong arms, we initiated the  Bracero Program. I have no problem with this program. These laborers did a great service for our country.

Once the war ended, our men returned home. Most braceros returned to Mexico, since the Bracero Program ended. However, many did not return home and stayed in the United States.

The contractors and industries that benefited from the Bracero Program got a taste of cheap labor and they liked it. The braceros realized that a dollar is worth much more than the peso, so they liked it.

Thus, the anaconda was introduced into the United States and has strangled the native species with cheap labor. The native species cannot survive against lower wages of this anaconda.

Whether it’s a greedy contractor, business leader, slimy politician, or unelected bureaucrat, like Alejandro Mayorkas, they are all irresponsible exotic pet owners that release the anaconda into this ecosystem on a daily basis.

The state of Florida at least has a program where they humanely capture and rid themselves of the anaconda from this ecosystem.

The United States, on the other hand, does nothing. The anaconda strangles in an uncontested fashion the wages in America. The anaconda kills (literally) the existing native species! Yet, this administration does nothing.

The anacondas thrive and this administration transports them to all corners of the ecosystem. The anaconda needs no help to take over, yet this administration does its due diligence.

The anaconda of the United States will continue to strangle out the native species. It will strangle out, not only jobs, but the cultural, political, economic, and traditional way of life of the native species.

We will soon celebrate the birth of a nation. However, if nothing is done, we will be witnessing its death by strangulation.

Disclaimer: In no way am I intending to dehumanize any group of people. This article is intended to make a comparison of two different things with similar results, which is devastation. Okay, so maybe Mayorkas, is a snake but that’s for another day.
